3ds Max offers a great and powerful rendering engine. As a solid modeler, it is good to send to 3d printing.

Revit

Revit advances the documentation processes, but with now the Vassari and other connection it becoming a fluid modeler.

Rhino/Grasshopper

Rhino provides the abilities to make any shape as possible. It is great connecting to digital devices. With grasshopper plugin, it advances the program into a parametric device.   I have worked with Rhino since I was in University of Michigan.
