Established in 1995, the Council for Educational Travel, USA, (CETUSA) offers exciting opportunities to work or study in foreign countries. In the past 16 years, the organization has assisted tens of thousands of individuals and families in achieving unique cultural experiences. CETUSA is currently affiliated with academic institutions and other organizations in more than 50 countries around the globe. The broad range of programs hosted by CETUSA are divided into several categories, which facilitate working, traveling, training, or interning in the United States. Most programs are available during the summertime for up to four months. Short-term programs are also available for individuals seeking to travel abroad for three to four weeks. CETUSA currently operates in several states, including California, Washington, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and others. During the course of a CETUSA program, participants will become immersed in the local culture, experiencing firsthand the day-to-day life in the United States. CETUSA also offers outbound programs that allow Americans to travel conveniently and live abroad. Available outbound programs are offered for high school students, individuals seeking to teach English abroad, or individuals seeking homestay opportunities. A nonprofit organization, CETUSA is a member of the Council for Educational Travel (CET) Management Group. Committed to maintaining high standards of quality for all its operations, the organization is accredited by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel. CETUSA also operates according to the regulations set by the United States Department of State. As such, CETUSA is able to grant participants the J-1 visa for traveling the United States. As an established global exchange operation, CETUSA provides expert assistance and support for program participants.
