For the past few years, I have developed not only my writing skills but my interest in marketing, experience in the non-profit sector and my ability to manage others has also grown. My networking skills have developed largely due to the importance of finding freelance work for myself and making connections for the benefit of myself and other partners as well.

In addition to eating, I'm interested in theology, world culture, travel, billiards, sports, music and above all else, health and nutrition. I am also interested in marketing, the Latino market and expanding my horizons.

My objective is to find a position where I can use all of my skills, inclusive of writing, digital creation and content creation, along with my interests in marketing. I have picked up and experienced many different situations in my short career, but all have made me more diverse and adaptable to the current working sphere.

Clique Communications

Clique was created as a name for everything I do. From freelance writing to consultation to social media management and copy writing, I felt that I needed a place for everything to fall. Clique is a network of all of the small and unique organizations I have worked with over the years, and it will be expanding to the music sphere. You can find more on my Facebook fan page at

Social Media
From Twitter to Facebook, LinkedIn to FourSquare, you can definitely find me online doing my thing and sharing my thoughts. I jumped on to the Facebook bandwagon in 2003 when it was meant to uphold relationships between students in colleges and universities. When Twitter made it's debut, I was hesitant but eventually jumped on to that fad as well. With over 11,000 tweets to date, I think I can say I prefer it over other social media networks and I've also found it to be the most beneficial. I found it so beneficial that I made a second Twitter account to coincide with my blog for ChicagoNOW.    After managing Cafe Media's Twitter accounts, as well as my own, I learned a lot about the use of social media for the larger sphere, which allowed me to consult based on this experience and manage other accounts beside my own. This also goes for Facebook. I also have experience developing an online social media strategy in order to help aimless efforts succeed and develop a pathway of its own.
Graduating with a Master's Degree in journalism from the University of Illinois, I have continuously challenged myself in the development of my craft. From keeping blogs to freelancing for multiple websites and publications, my writing has grown with me over time, and has evolved into a skill of which I'm most proud.
