I completed my degree in Communication Studies in May of 2012. During my time at the university I was able to take many classes that helped greatly change the way I communicate in the work force. The degree also taught me many things about the fast paced and ever changing ways to market a business through social media and web presence. I have taken many things away from my education at WVU, but one of the most important was Communication in the Workplace. I feel that this degree has prepared me to work in almost any environment with many different kinds of people.

My current position in the Legal Department is serving as an  assistant Deputy Senior Counsel Attorney - I provide support by organizing meetings, managing travel arrangements and  preparing other complex reports. In addition to that, I also assist multiple other attorneys with in the department with day to day tasks. I have helped with the organization of the CLD guide and prepared many spreadsheets to assist the attorneys.

Adecco Staffing Services  - PNC  

Through Adecco Staffing agency I am currently placed in PNC's Legal Department . I am assisting the attorneys with scheduling, travel arrangements, answering their phones, and editing legal documents. In addition to assisting the attorneys, I help process the Legal Department Orphan Mail, which includes Subpoenas, Garnishments and Foreclosures among many other things. Over the course of this assignment I continue to learn  about the day to day legal operations that keep a company functioning at its highest capacity.

While at Harvest Financial Corporation, I planned multiple events for clients and the company such as open houses as well as company outings. I assisted with the opening of new accounts as well as managed day to day office activities. I interacted with clients on a day to day basis, giving them information about their accounts. I built multiple spread sheets and created client databases. In addition to daily office activities I also studied for the Uniform Investment Adviser exam between projects.

Office Manager

As the Office Manager of a Law Firm I was responsible for maintaining multiple attorneys schedules. I scheduled meetings, hearings, and conference calls for everyone in the office and was responsible for making sure nothing overlaps. I also utilizes QuickBooks on a daily basis, either taking payments or writing out checks for refunds. Along with scheduling, I took detailed messages for the attorneys, and was also in charge of all incoming and outgoing faxes. This job allows me to utilize my organization skills on a daily basis, which is one of the most important parts of the job.

Customer Service Representative

Teletech

At Teletech I worked as a Customer Service Representative for Bank of Americas incoming call center. The main duties of the job were to give the most accurate information of customer accounts, try to retain accounts on the verge of closure, and lastly making sure the customer had the easiest interaction possible. During my time at Teletech I received anywhere from 150 to 250 calls in a single shift, though stressful, the high paced environment  kept my on my feet and there was always an new challenge waiting for me everyday.

Technical Documentation Assistant

Administrative Technical Solutions

Worked as an assistant for the WVU's Technical Solutions Program by assisting with day to day operations tasks. Some duties entailed working with Excel to examine spreadsheets, and also working with Access as well. The ATS team worked mainly with the West Virginia Universities MYTIME program, which allows employees to clock in, view time worked, and request leave. We developed flow charts for web developers, which allowed them to see the path of certain routes with in the website and also resolved malfunctions with in the site.
