Managed the work controls program for seven nuclear submarines during complex periods of ship repairs. Directed the adequate isolation of intricate mechanical and electrical systems in a hazardous industrial environment protecting shipyard workers from injury and/or death. Provided leadership and guidance to correct time sensitive violations of Shipyard operating procedures.
- Supervised the performance of eight second-shift personnel, with zero incidents affecting safety to workers or personnel.
- Developed and produced code policies and procedures to promote uniform and safe operations of personnel.
USS Greeneville SSN 772 & USS Florida SSGN 728 2003 – 2009
Trained as a Fire Control Technician in the United States Navy and performed duties onboard submarines operating combat systems associated with the launching and employment of conventional weapons. Diagnosed and repaired faulty electrical equipment and computer systems.
- Managed a 2.3 Million dollar inventory of circuit cards and repair parts with zero discrepancies.
- Directed, without incident, the launching and handling operations of Tomahawk missiles and ADCAP torpedoes.
