I chose to specialize in pediatrics which is a separate home office and clinical setting from the geriatric care Bayada provides. I worked strictly with patients under the age of fifteen. Most of my patients were completely bed bound and needed special care with feeding,bathing and medications due to disability instead of illness.

Phlebotomy Responsibilities

Basic Venipuncture procedures, butterfly and syringe venipunctures, sterile blood culture procedures, the order of draw, using STAT and routine blood collections in the correct manner,bleeding times, glucose tolerance testing,therapeutic phlebotomy, DNA testing,PKU and other heel-stick procedures on infants, as well as very proficient in pediatric venipuncture.

Clerical Duties

I am  duel skilled in both Cerner and Meditec LIS systems as well as Documenting Physician orders and appointments. I work very well with phone calls and faxes, HIPPA and training in coding efficiency with both ICD-9 and ICD-10 

CNA Responsibilities
