2014 - Present

Program Coordinator

American Lung Association in Oklahoma
  • Increased social media presence on Facebook by over 400 followers and Twitter by over 100 followers in less than a year.
  • Added a company page for a professional presence on Linkedin.
  • Impacted over 15, 000 people by managing the details of five programs addressing several topic areas related to lung health simultaneously.
  • Trained and facilitated asthma education to over 300 elementary school students in five central Oklahoma counties.
  • Attended twenty community events and health fairs educating over 100 people about asthma.
  • Coordinated two trainings for new smoking cessation clinic leaders.
  • Managed the purchase of smoking cessation clinics through corporate and community partners.
  • Taught pregnant and new mothers about the dangers of smoking around children by creating partnerships with two new hospitals.
  • Aided those suffering with lung disease by adding resources for support groups and establishing two new support groups.
2010 - 2014

Special Projects Coordinator, Strategic Alliances

  • Lead the development of the biennial(National Community Tax in project management and Coalition (NCTC) National Conference, including program book design, marketing campaigns, workshop development and exhibitor.
  • Created blog entries and articles about the programs highlighted through NCTC WorkForward blog, NCTC e-newsletter, NCTC publications and strategic partners' communication vehicles.
  • Executed the National Community Tax Coalition's college access a team and thrives in a fast- initiatives, including but not limited to Financial Aid U, the College Access Initiative and the gamification project.
  • Contributed to the operation of the Financial Fitness Initiative by providing trained associates from various financial institutions, including Bank of America and E*Trade, to offer asset building services.
  • Directed the implementation of bringing small business and self- employed individual's tax returns into scope for the Volunteers in Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
  • Secured partnerships with corporate associates, researchers, community-based organizations and other partners.
2007 - 2008

Legal Program Coordinator

  • Prepared legal updates for the Board of Managers and volunteer Legal Panel.
  • Consulted attorneys in private practice who are working on important civil rights and civil litigation with the ACLU team.
  • Supported ACLU’s legislative lobbying program with primary focus on bills before the judiciary committees.
  • Worked with the General Counsel and Legal Director to organize and conduct meetings with the volunteer Legal Panel.
  • Engaged new members of the volunteer Legal Panel.
  • Fielded phone calls and letters.
