My goal in life is to pursue a career in the field of Special Education, Adapted Curriculum, in which I can be a part of each learner's academic and social journey. I have confidence that every student can learn and has many attributes in which they can use to influence those around them.  I firmly believe that I can learn as much from my students as they can learn from me.  I hope to be a part of a learning community that is as much an advocate for my learner's as I am.

My name is Brittany Cassell and I am currently pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Adapted Curriculum at East Carolina University.  I will be licensed in both the Adapted and General Curriculum as well.  During my time as a practicum student at East Carolina, I have gained experiences in Adapted classrooms ranging from elementary to high school grade levels.  I have been employed at the Autism Society of North Carolina locally in Greenville for two years and have gained many skills that I believe will benefit the students of my future classrooms as well as help mold me into a successful teacher.
