I work with at risk families in crisis to help children stay in the home. I teach families parenting skills using various curriculum, budgeting, organization and cleaning skills, how to create a routine, nutrition, meal planning, coordinate and refer for community resources, maintain logs/documentation, working as a team with a therapist, working with community agencies, attending court, writing reports, writing assessments, scheduling, planning, time management, research, engaging with clients and maintaining professionalism.
I also am completing my practicum with St. Francis learning the duties of case manager.
I drove a school bus while managing approximately 30 kids. The position required routine checks of the bus, record keeping, and time management. It was required to maintain current certification in first aid and child/adult CPR and a CDL license with a clean driving record.
Home daycare provider duties included record keeping, billing/ accounting, meal planning, knowledge of child development, cooking, maintaining a clean play environment, scheduling, advertising, and regular communication with parents.
Position in child welfare directly working with adolescents and teens in which there is a possibility for advancement and provides addtional training/learning opportunities.
I am a very motivated person and a fast learner. My goal is to work with adolescents and teens to improve their chances of staying at home and out of the court system or foster care. I have almost five years experience in the field including practicum.
My interests include reading, spending time with my family, personal improvement, and drawing/art.
