Casey Golden

Casey, a lifetime entrepreneur, started his first company at age 11 (biodegradable golf tees), got two patents, traveled in the US and Japan to speak about invention and promote entrepreneurship for students, sold product in K-Marts across US, and was also featured on  NBC, CBS, The Disney Channel, and the Discovery Channel, and in numerous publications including People Magazine.  Since then started 3 companies, most notably, Parature, www.parature.com, an on-demand, software as a service CRM company, which has grown to 120+ employees.  Current social venture, Small Act Network, is merging the worlds of Social Media and Philanthropy. Through strategic consulting and its proprietary technology, Small Act is helping nonprofits harness and take control of social media.  The positive impact is huge and is having a dramatic affect across all goals of the organizations: fundraising, advocacy and community building, and awareness.  Nonprofits finally have a simple, yet powerful way to leverage social media.Casey has written chapter "Technology with a Heart" in the bestselling book, "Do Your Giving While You Are Living.", and is currently writing two additional books, "The Game Changer: Nonprofit's Guide for Social Media Impact” (to be published Fall '09), and “Small Acts. Big Impact. : How You Can Change The World 5 Minutes at a Time” (to be published Holiday ’09).

Casey is on the advisory committee for Safe America Foundation and Kidsave International and is soon to be on the Board of Hire a Hero.
