Real estate professional Carol Massoud maintains involvement in several industry organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management, which she previously served as President; the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); and the Education Committee of the Urban Development Institute (UDI) of Quebec. Ms. Massoud balances her duties with these organizations with her responsibilities as the Vice President of Development at Maestri Terra Real Estate. Carol Massoud holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in addition to her real estate license and certification as a property manager.
Carol Massoud began her career in the real estate industry as a Property Manager for Societe Globale De Construction, where she oversaw the leasing and daily operations of residential high-rise buildings. Ms. Massoud then joined Canada National Real Estate as a Property Manager, a position she held for five years. In 1999, she accepted a contract position with Sigma Property Management. In this role, Ms. Massoud led the development of several real estate projects, including the creation of a retail establishment in downtown Montreal, Quebec, that has since expanded to become a chain.
After two years with Sigma Property Management, Carol Massoud completed a six-month contract with Sun Life Real Estate, during which she performed long- and short-term financial analyses of the company’s portfolio of properties in eastern Canada. She went on to serve as Director of Development and Operation for Vinci Park Canada, where she led the company’s expansion into the Canadian market, making Vinci Park a leading provider of parking services. Later in her career, Ms. Massoud oversaw the Real Estate Management Services Division of Colliers International as its Regional Director. She worked with ING Real Estate as a Regional Director for several years as well.
