A small-business owner for more than 16 years, Caroline Thonon operates Spa One Day Spa in Punta Gorda, Florida. Caroline Thonon’s spa has helped to attract to Punta Gorda those looking for the luxury of a facial, a massage, or a day of self-pampering and rejuvenation.Prior to opening Spa One, Caroline Thonon studied at the University of Dallas, where she received an MBA in International Marketing. After more than 14 years running her own businesses, Ms. Thonon founded her spa in 2010, applying her managerial experience to a project focused on the health and wellness of her community at Punta Gorda.Today, Caroline Thonon’s spa offers a full spectrum of relaxing and healthful treatments. Spa One’s team of over 20 professionals specializes in massages, facials, weight loss programs, and body wraps. Among the spa’s most popular offerings are its Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, bamboo, and reflexology-based massages. In addition, The spa also offers full salon services, including nails, hair, and permanent makeup. Frequent customers can purchase memberships, which entitle them to reduced-price services and exclusive discounts.When she is not managing her spa, Caroline Thonon focuses on giving back to Punta Gorda. She is an active supporter of several children’s advocacy groups, including the Yah Yah Girls and Florida’s Guardian ad Litem program for abused and neglected minors. Ms. Thonon also contributes to the Homeless Coalition and the local Boys and Girls Club. Beyond her work and service to her community, Ms. Thonon loves to spend time on the beach and enjoys travel and boating.
