A hard working, highly adaptable, and independent professional seeking a position that will utilize analytical chemistry techniques acquired through work experience specifically in this field. I have worked for years with a large team in a metabolomics laboratory to analyze large sets of samples and deliver data to clients in a timely manner.

Work experience

Staff Research Associate I

NIH: West Coast Metabolomics Center

Davis, CA 95616.

Continued analyzing large sample sets using GC/TOF. Trained and managed all student interns in sample preparation and laboratory etiquette. Typically managed about 4-6 interns weekly. Reduced data sets for clients.

Junior Specialist

West Coast Metabolomics Center

Analyzed many  samples using GC/TOF. Ran about 10-40 samples a day per instrument, running from 1-3 instruments at a time. Performed GC/TOF maintenance such as, but not limited to, cutting and changing the columns, replacing broken filaments, reprogramming the autosampler, and cleaning the injector. Constantly checking chromatograms to ensure proper data acquisition.

Lab Assistant III

West Coast Metabolomics Center

Made solvents used for sample extraction. Extracted many different types of samples, ranging from plasma to plants to human tissue, for different platforms such as GC/TOF and LC/QTOF. Kept chemical inventory.
