Ordering and filling out request forms for materials for inventory. (Screws, hardware, Gaffers Tape, Paint, etc.)
Ordering and filling out request forms for materials on builds. (Furniture pieces, wood, metal, etc.)
Ordering and filling out request forms for materials to maintain Props. (Paint, Misc. parts)
Scheduling meeting with lighting department and going over set build details to work in coordination.
Scheduling build team and then physically constructing each set with a build team.
Constant maintenance of set elements.
Studio & Building Maintenance
Maintaining building and structure through daily maintenance and repair.
Filling out work orders.
Ordering and filling out request forms for materials (Bulbs, door handles, sheet rock, electrical & plumbing supplies, paint supplies, etc.)
Doing weekly walk through and filling out repair list.
Doing constant fire and safety inspections, through out studios and office facilities.
Maintenance of lifts, pallet jacks, and all studio equipment.
Maintenance of studio trucks and vans.
Beginning with the preparation and setup of the equipment prior to filming.
Ensuring that all the equipment, including cameras, tripods, monitors, cables, lighting and headphones, are operational. During the filming process.
Operating the camera while maintaining a dialogue with the director to ensure smooth filming.
Familiarizing myself with the timing of the segments and cues in order to make camera switches and take commercial breaks.
Framing interesting shots that add visual presentation to the story to make it more appealing is part of the role.
Preparing studio for shoots and checking to see that all on the set is functional and operating in perfect order.
Setting cameras to marks, and setting up color balance chart for video.
Checking studio and preparing green screen if needed for promo shoots or sketch shoots.
Checking monitors and TelePrompters to make sure all is in working order.
Checking all video screens to make sure they are all in working order.
Doing walk through on set to make sure if any touch ups or repairs need to be done before shoot.
Keeping guest and hosts informed and on time, and of any changes.
Control smooth flow of guest and production on to & from set during performances.
Control of audience and studio floor, follow and give clear & concise directions from the director.
Constantly following and updating any grid changes.
Checking studios on an ongoing basis for any outdated marks (Blocking) from previous shows.
Helping production in upcoming shows or pilots with set and shoot ideas.
Designing and building props, and/or locating necessary props for particular shows or pilots.
Designing and printing special signage if needed.
Designing and building any special effects for show or pilots.
Giving input on several set ideas and designs.
Working as stand-in during pilots and shows or as a special guest.
Helping to prepare and set up monitors, microphones, boom microphones, lapel microphones, etc. for guest, host, musical guest.
Testing audio and video equipment so that all is in working order, and that all the batteries have been changed for every show, and that all audio/video and power cables are securely attached.
Implemented props inventory and record keeping procedures for Mega TV from it's inception.
Maintaining props, prop photos and props inventory and inputing data in to computer data base.
Maintaining props department budget and expense reports.
Ordering and filling out request forms for materials to maintain Props. (Misc. parts)
Doing a monthly count of all inventory items.
Constantly checking data base and tracking prop items that are in use or have been checked out by shows or staff, or off site shoots.
Helping lighting department when needed.
Hanging rigging mototrs.
Hanging and focusing lights.
Construction of trusses.
Hanging trusses from span sets to rigging motors.
Rigging set elements that may hang from rigging motors or that may be boned to the light grid.
Hanging video monitors boning them from the light grid.
I have many years experience working in rigging with the local 500 union
Help lighting in striking cables and lights after shows, and putting them back into storage.
Fully certified forklift and lift operator with Caterpillar. (Union Certified)
