In the spring of 2010 I was selected to become a Counselor at Louisiana Youth Seminar, a summer leadership camp for high school students. My experiences have included fundraising, recruiting and speaking on behalf of LYS throughout the year at high schools and local organizations. During the seminar I teach leadership development and communication skills to 300+ high school students overall and manage a 20+ group at all times.
As a freshman at LSU I created SoleSisters, starting as a philanthropy event offered to all sorority women, in order to support Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge. During the following two years the idea grew to become an official LSU student organization with 300 members, raising more than $3,200 in the current year for Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge. The organization inspires sorority women to train for and run The Louisiana Half-Marathon, while promoting the values of confidence, self-respect, healthy lifestyle and service.
As President and Founder of SoleSisters of LSU I have developed leadership and management skills to oversee 20 Chapter Liaisons and the Executive Board. My experience also includes creating and managing the website, social media accounts and monthly events for the organization.

I am currently the Marketing Manager for Total Tennis Inc., a local junior tennis program established in Baton Rouge. Services also include adult clinics, summer camps, a wheelchair program and Special Olympics program. I manage the website, promotional materials, social media and public relations for Total Tennis.
Serving as the Social Media Assistant and a Contributor to Claim Your Journey, a digital guide to runners in Louisiana, I met weekly with the founder and online editor to create the social media plan and to schedule website content. I promoted the brand merchandise and website content daily through social media accounts. I wrote weekly articles that were published on the website, including feature stories, interviews, event recaps and informational tips and content. I frequently attended events and races to provide media coverage.
