An extensively experienced technical recruiter, Carl Michael Kulungian most recently served as president of King Forbes Ltd., in Woodland Hills, California. As King Forbes’ senior global technical recruiter he sourced personnel for clients in sectors ranging from IT and aerospace, to heavy construction and energy resources. Prior to leading King Forbes, Carl Kulungian recruited engineers for the railroad communications and signaling developer Safetran Systems Corporation. He also worked as a senior recruiter for the aerospace and defense contractor Intergraph Corporation, where he recruited managers for positions that required various Department of Defense security clearances, such as Sensitive Compartmented Information.
At the beginning of his work as a recruiter, Mr. Kulungian contracted nearly 300 engineers for the Alyeska Pipeline development in Alaska. He subsequently founded CMK International Inc., where for 15 years he directed global recruiting of engineers and managers for major projects, including the design of Northrop Grumman’s B-2 stealth bomber. Throughout his career, Carl Michael Kulungian also provided recruiting services for companies like Boeing, Gulf Oil, and McDonnell Douglas.
Outside of his recruiting career, Mr. Kulungian enjoyed building custom hot rods and motorcycles, which he sold through his company Choppers by Carl. Also a veteran of the Vietnam War, he joined the Navy after graduating from Leuzinger High School and served on the crew of a guided-missile destroyer.
