Licensed in the State of California, the United States District Court in the Central and Southern Districts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Attorney Caree Annette Harper has served as a criminal defense attorney in the Los Angeles area for more than nine years. As the attorney representing Lumard Wilson in his defense against the Riverside Police Department, Caree Annette Harper’s work resulted in a mistrial, and all felony charges were dismissed. Over the years, her defense of her client’s civil rights in California has resulted in several large settlements against state agencies and various cities. A graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California, attorney Caree Annette Harper earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Next attending the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, she received her law degree and then passed the State Bar of California. She is a member of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association in San Diego, the Criminal Law Section of the California State Bar Association, as well as the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Association. Caree Annette Harper is also a member of the American Bar Association. A longtime supporter of the Democratic Party, Caree Annette Harper received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives in recognition of her continued dedication as an attorney and her legal oversight in the 2008 Presidential election results.
