Directed the development of the college’s Quality Enhancement Plan as a component of the Southern Association on Colleges and Schools (SACS)
re-accreditation process for Columbia State. As project manager, directed five organizational teams (included approximately 8-12 persons per team).

Council of American Overseas Research Centers & American Institute of Indian Studies

One of sixteen U.S. professors awarded a fellowship to explore cross-cultural challenges and opportunities created by India’s rapid urban development. Traveled to Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, and Mysore, India to evaluate economic and environmental challenges within India's expanding cities.

Tennessee Consortium for International Studies
  • Implement the India study abroad through the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies which prepares students for a three-week program through orientation and multiple contact points prior to departure, including visa application sessions.
  • Organize NGO visits for students to visit in-country and coordinate service-learning experiences through various Indian non-profit organizations, and teach a Social Problems course in country while managing directorship duties.

  • Instructed an Introduction to Sociology course in Cape Town, South Africa highlighting areas of racial discrimination, history of apartheid, gender and sexuality inequities, domestic violence, and poverty. 
  • Assisted program director with program student issues, developed service and other inter-cultural learning activities for the South Africa study abroad program through TnCIS.

  • Generate diversity, communication, leadership, and intercultural competency curriculum materials customized to specific client needs.
  • Recruit and mentor facilitators and diversity and inclusion experts for educational and consulting initiatives.
