Develop curriculum and instructional materials and instruct on sociological theories, research, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexuality, age, health care, economic inequality, immigration, poverty, crime, war & terrorism, communication in groups, diverse family structures, and social policies.

Responsible for all administrative tasks related to the sociology department, including development of courses, management of 6-8 part-time faculty, program evaluations, advising of all sociology and social work majors, scheduling of courses, general education assessments, and produce all data and other documents relevant to sociology and social work programs. 

Directed the development of the college’s Quality Enhancement Plan as a component of the Southern Association on Colleges and Schools (SACS)
re-accreditation process for Columbia State. As project manager, directed five organizational teams (included approximately 8-12 persons per team).

One of sixteen U.S. professors awarded a fellowship to explore cross-cultural challenges and opportunities created by India’s rapid urban development. Traveled to Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, and Mysore, India to evaluate economic and environmental challenges within India's expanding cities.

• Implement the India study abroad through the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies which prepares students for a three-week program through orientation and multiple contact points prior to departure, including visa application sessions.
• Organize NGO visits for students to visit in-country and coordinate service-learning experiences through various Indian non-profit organizations, and teach a Social Problems course in country while managing directorship duties.

• Provide cultural competency-centered research, inclusion-centered consulting, assessment, and diversity training services to organizations in order to facilitate inclusion and help teams navigate a range of people differences, including gender, race, ethnicity, language, culture, sexuality, religion, socioeconomic status, and disabilities.
• Generate diversity, communication, leadership, and intercultural competency curriculum materials customized to specific client needs.
• Recruit and mentor facilitators and diversity and inclusion experts for educational and consulting initiatives.
• Develop curriculum materials and dynamic presentations that address race, ethnicity, age/generational differences, disabilities, gender, sexuality, religion, language, nationality, and cultural differences.
• Work with private, government, and non-profit organizations to assess diversity and inclusion needs. Clients include technology, health care, non-profit, entertainment, and manufacturing sectors.
• Current/previous clients include Provident Label Group (a division of Sony Music), Sony Music Publishing, Sony Nashville, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman International Law Firm, Asurion, TPAC,  United Way, Center for Nonprofit Management, Caregivers by WholeCare, Municipal Technical Advisory Service of University of Tennessee, TN Board of Education.

• Developed and coordinated training programs for clients within public and private organizations.
• Managed all client relations, lead sources, and served as the lead project manager for all workshop and consulting projects.
• Generated diversity, communication, leadership, and intercultural competency curriculum materials customized to specific client needs.
• Organized, facilitated, and presented group training sessions to government, corporate, and non-profit agencies addressing diversity issues, intercultural competence, sexual harassment, communication, professionalism, and leadership.
• Clients included New York Community Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Northwest Mutual, Catholic Charities, Reese Pharmaceutical, Uniguest, St. Clair Systems, Creative Occasions, Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority, StratXIT, EFT Source, Ficosa International, Akron Police Department.
