Since 1982, Calvary Community Church has celebrated God’s love as a non-denominational Christian church based in Phoenix, Arizona. Headed by Senior Pastor J. Mark Martin, the initially small church has grown through the years to have a membership of 12,000 strong. The church holds meetings in two locations in the Phoenix area. Ministering to its church family in several ways, there is a special Men’s Ministry designed to encourage the men of the church and help them grow stronger in their faith, a Women’s Ministry that extends special activities for the women of the church, and a Children’s Ministry for infants through sixth grade. Junior High and High School ministries are also available for youth. Additionally, Calvary Community Church affords young adults and couples special fellowship opportunities. Calvary Community Church provides outreach through radio programming and Internet broadcasting. Ministries supported through financial gifts and donations include financial aid for crises, Manna Ministry food donations, an at-risk children’s mentoring program, and support groups for grief, addiction, and divorce. A prison ministry offers pen pal outreach, teaching materials for inmates, and an Angel Tree Christmas program for inmate families. The church also holds hiking trips as part of its Fellowship Adventures outdoor adventure ministry.
