My main strength is within IT, having worked for a year at an IT support company i have learned a large ranges of skills that i can use effectively. These skills range from being able quickly and effectively set up desktops to be used, installing software that range for MS office suite to client specif software such as Sage, Solving clients issues quick and confidently, server maintenance including solving issues within the Active Directory, Services Manager, Server management console and the Exchange Management Console. During my year at Northstar i also did more hands work including Structured Data cabling for many Offices which ranged from very simple 5 port set ups to over 48 port set ups. I also set up a range of devices, such as Printers, Scanners, an AV equipment. These along have help me be able to provide a wide range of support to end users with a professional and friendly service.

Strengths and weaknesses

My main strengths are, i offer a very personal and professional approach to work, along with knowledge of IT i like to keep myself up to date with technology news, along with side projects which teach me valuable life skills, which include social skills, fitness, time management among others. I am also very good at knowing when to prioritize tasks within a busy working environment, and decent at tackling multiple tasks once without letting any of the task suffer in quality. With my time at Northstar i have learnt to give calm, collected and detailed response to problems, coupled with the research skills i learned during college i have became adept at finding resolutions to issues that i may have a little less knowledge aboout.   

Like everyone i also have weaknesses, my main and most obvious weakness is being able to take myself out of situation i can't solve, although to combat this i will ask for someone to consult and see if together we can solve the issue. other weaknesses include finding work during down time, i usually thrive during busy hours because that means the work will create itself, however i can consistently work past my weaknesses and work around any issues that i may have be they personal of professional

Started off with basic roles, but as the year advanced i began to solve more complex within windows XP through to windows along with working within windows servers including SBS 2011 and 2012 R2, and working within exchange 2003-2010. Duties included answering phones, providing support to a number of clients, including support and installation of Microsoft office suite (2003-2013), Performing virus scans, setting up new users within windows server, structured data cabling, creating distribution groups, maintaining and  setting up printers and scanners, maintaining a range of hardware (including printers, desktops, laptops and servers), along with completing manufacturer courses and constantly learning new skills as the year played out .
