I have been working in the Community space here at Microsoft since 2000. I have known Kathy throughout most of this time, as she is an MVP for PowerPoint and OneNote, and I was the MVP Lead for OneNote. Kathy has shown a high-volume, sustained and technically proficient presence in the Community during this time. Kathy is also a demonstrated thought leader in this area, she is often the one who will inform me (via her blog or Facebook page) about new technologies and sites to visit. I have found several productive tools to help me manage my Communities this way. Please feel free to contact me if you need further references.

I worked with Kathy on PodCamp AZ 2007, 2008 & 2009. I can honestly say that the event was a roaring success. We were pleased to see hundreds of success stories from all over the net from the attendees. The event went 10 times better than we ever expected it to go. I only say all this because we would have never had the event at all if it wasn't for Kathy. Not only did she find the venue, coordinate the volunteers, contact sponsors and document everything but she worked hand in hand with said countless volunteers, teaching them how to hook up equipment, run booths and generally help across the board. Needless to say she was beyond vital to the event's success. Her dedication to quality communication and clear direction in everything she does is more than refreshing. I absolutely love her ability to foresee potential roadblocks in a plan and offer creative solutions for working around them in advance as well as in the moment. Her ability to train, inspire and empower people is stellar and has come to be a powerful addition to every project I have had the pleasure of working on with her. On top of her "at the moment" skills, she has profound followthrough staying power as well. Not only has she seen every job to it's completion but followed up on it for weeks and months after making sure that everything was still functioning properly. This really shows her true and honest ability to invest passionately in everything she puts her hands to. Needless to say, I would recommend Kathy for any leadership/partnership/training position without any hesitation. You just can't ask for anything better!”
