Overall responsible for managing all aspects of technology requirements and needs for SportsMark’s clients and the Beijing office for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. This includes vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, venue liaison, contract staff recruitment and training, and liaising with respective Beijing Olympic departments on technology, radio communications and licensing matters.

Accomplishments

  • Successfully completed all pre-games venue/site testing and vendor negotiations based on clients’ operational needs and requirements.
  • Successfully managed procurement of technology equipment and deployment at multiple sites and venues.

  • Successful planning and execution of the first run of a BMW-Sauber F1 car on the streets of Beijing during the launch of Intel C2D consumer event, garnering a turnout crowd of more than 28,000 people.
  • Directly involved in planning, development and safety management of made-for-TV event – Intel Treasure Island, showcasing Intel technology.
  • Directly involved in project development, planning, creative design and execution of listed firm Baidu, for its Baidu World 2006 event, with a turnout of more than 1,500 business, channels and client participants.
  • Directly involved in multiple high level and large scale project proposals and implementation of event experiential journey and design based on marketing and PR requirements. Industries include international and local MNCs in IT, auto, pharmaceutical, consumers, hospitality and electronics.
  • Successfully managed planning, creative elements, communications and execution of Singapore Seminar launch in Beijing, a once every 2 years event led by Economic Development Board (Singapore).

Accomplishments

  • Successfully pioneered, lead and implemented a six months Data Analysis Project to study and analyze trends and issues on customer’s use of Automated Shipment Processing, resulting in significant reduction of service quality issues and increase in usage of automation. Resulted in additional project spin-offs.
  • Reducing telecommunication cost by 30% through analyzing trends and thereafter implementing a Telecommunication Cost Reduction Initiative.
  • Increasing monthly shipping volume and revenue by single-handedly creating, implementing and managing an Employee Incentive Programme for both Singapore and Malaysia offices that rewards employees who helps bring in new trading customers.
  • Successfully lead and organized an Employee Family Day with a 99.8% turnout and becoming the most successful family event in the company’s history.

  • Pioneered feasibility study and establishing one of the first thin-client computing environments in an educational institution in Singapore, and invited to its facilities in San Jose, United States, as well as discussions with vendors on thin client and Mobile Computing Technology.
