Web Developer & Server Administrator I was responsible for developming new websites, as well as, maintaining existing ones-in total I was responsible for the maintainance of 45 separate website. I was also responsible for maintaining the Apache web server, including the security. I developedacompany security policy and was working towards ISO 27001 compliance, unfortunately the business ceased trading in the new year of 2013, before I could achieve this.

Catering Manager

North Wales. Catering Manager I started out as a bars supervisor and was promoted up to the position of catering manager, before being made redundant. I was responsible for managing the day to day operations of the business which included opening and closing, as well as, cash handling. Planning and managing silver service banquets for up to 1000 covers, General catering provision across 6 bars, a café and an 80 cover restaurant. HR Responsibilities: Staff hiring and disciplinary actions, in-house staff training(Health & Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH, Cellar Management and Customer Service), managed a daily team of 30 members of staff, though managed teams of up to 150 members of staff during banqueting functions. Policy Control: I wrote the corporate Food SafetyPolicy SMG Europe, wrote the departmental health and safety policy, as well as, writing and maintaining the departmental risk assessments I was a fire marshal, first aider and was on the health and safety committee. I also held a personal license and a door supervisor's qualification.

Assisting patients with activities of daily living, and delivering patient care. I participated as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist the nursing and medical teams with ward duties. I was primarily based in Care of the Elderly, as well as in adult medical settings.

We covered computer system development, server administration, database management and administration, software development, network design and configuration, Project management, emerging technologies, and computer systems security. I had to present a paper to the class on computing ethics and the impact of social media. In addition, I gave a 40 minute presentation on transhumanism, which was delivered to 80 students and tutors. My dissertation looked at securing Voice over IP using Virtual Private Networks.

We covered an introduction to networking, software development, object oriented design and development, web development, database development, PC hardware support, computing fundamentals. In addition, we each had to prepare and deliver a 30 minute micro-teach session - I chose to deliver a session on PHP Email. My final year project looked at web server security, and saw me performing a vulnerability assessment for a local business.

We covered manual handling, patient care, wound care and wound healing, medicine distribution, and patient assessment. We also had to undertake three placements each year - mine were in care of the elderly, district nursing, adult medical, acute medical admissions, surgical, and accident and emergency. I was also part of a group presenting a seminar on leg ulceration and prescribed treatment methods - this was given to 70 students, as well as tutors. I had to provide an individual presentation on abdominal aortic aneurysms - given to a class of 35.

Teaching

I have experience preparing lessons, lectures, seminars, labs and group work. I have also got experience in delivering this material to students. Aside from the academic setting, I was responsible for staff training whilst working as a catering manager.

Server Administration

I have worked on Linux based and Windows based servers, however, I have more experience using a linux environment. I have used CentOS, Fedora, RHEL, Windows Server 2008 & 2012. I also have experience using MySQL, Oracle 11 & 12, and Microsoft SQL Servers.

Development

I am proficient in Java, C#, C++, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript & PHP. I am also familiar with several development methodologies, and have experience developing using RAD.
