Leadership Experience

Pierce Fellow, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2010-Present)

As a Pierce Fellow, I am responsible for developing and leading a small group of students and spouses of students on Gordon-Conwell's campus.  I am receiving training in spiritual formation and using those skills to lead other students in self care, relationship building, and Bible Study.

Writer for Sermon Series Small Group Questions, Peachtree Presbyterian Church (2009-2010)

At Peachtree Presbyterian Church, I was responsible for writing weekly small group questions for the church's website to correspond with the current sermon series.

Contemporary Service Leadership Team, Peachtree Presbyterian Church (2009-2010)

I served on the 6-person contemporary service leadership team (www.peachtreesummit.org).  We met weekly to plan, coordinate, and implement a service for 500 people every week.  I was specifically responsible for recruiting volunteers, brainstorming creative elements for the service, presiding during the service, and coordinating student involvement.

Mission Trip Team Leader, Peachtree Presbyterian Church (2008-2010):

I planned and led a high school mission trip to inner-city Chicago in 2009 (16 students), and co-led trips to inner-city Los Angeles (10 students) in 2008, and Costa Rica (30 students) in 2010.  As trip leader, my responsibilities included: coordinating fundraising efforts to meet budgets of $30,000, preparing for the safety, education, and cultural experience of trip participants and leaders, creating and facilitating curriculum study and service opportunities, and coordinating trip logistics, travel arrangements, and itineraries.

Executive Editor, Willow Tree People Online Magazine (2006-2008):

I co-founded and served as Executive Editor of Willow Tree People, an online magazine written by college students and for college students at Gordon College.  The goal of the magazine was to encourage students to view their liberal arts studies through the lens of faith, and to share what they were learning through writing and the visual arts.  Within a year of founding the magazine, our circulation reached 1,500.

North Shore Community Baptist Church Youth Leader (2003-2007):

I volunteered with Student Ministries at North Shore Baptist Community Church, assisting with weekly youth programs and leading a girls' Bible Study in my home.
