Bryant Boren has handled virtually every type of civil matter over the course of a career that has spanned three decades, but he focuses on intellectual property cases. He is a trial lawyer for Baker Botts, LLP, and is the Partner in charge of the firm’s office in Palo Alto, California.Bryant Boren has handled a vast array of intellectual property matters, including trademark, patent, and trade secret litigation. He is interested in computer hardware and software and is an experienced programmer in several computer languages. He has used his expertise in computers and technology to represent parties in disputes involving videoconferencing, database design, network security, microprocessor and PBX architecture, telecommunications software and hardware, and neurostimulation devices. Mr. Boren has also represented many clients in matters of microcomputer software and hardware systems.Bryant C. Boren earned his Juris Doctor in 1980 from the University of Texas School of Law. He is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, the Dallas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Boren has been admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of California, as well as several United States District Courts in California and Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Ninth, and Federal Circuits. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer seven times and as a Best Lawyer in America four times.When not working as a litigator in Palo Alto, California, Bryant Boren enjoys programming and working on computers, and supporting the arts. He is dedicated to music composition and performance and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Sammons Center for the Performing Arts in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Boren also sails and is a member of the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.
