The American Galvanizers Association is a non-profit trade organization providing technical support on today's innovative applications and state-of-the-art technological developments in hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion control

  • Created multidimensional and engaging designs for AGA print/digital ads and promotional materials, including brochures, internet advertising, multi-page publications, print newsletters, video production and e-newsletters
  • Applied well developed written and verbal communication skills working in a small in-house graphic design and marketing team, ability to collaborate and thrive in a team setting as well as independently, self motivated and goal orientated
  • Content creation and editing/proof reading for AGA website pages
  • Coordinated all continuing education efforts on galvanizing for architects and engineers through the Galvanize It! Seminar program.
    • Researched and implemented the use of a new online program to deliver monthly webinars to potential students in the Architecture and Engineering fields
    • 2014 goal; increase the numbers of specifiers educated by the AGA by 10%, exceeded that goal by the beginning of the third quarter with a 15% increase.
    • Streamlined a new online recording system for presenters to generate course completion certificates online, eliminating unnecessary paper waste and ensuring the correct certificate was being distributed
  • Database creation and management, CRM programs and research and analyze competitive marketing strategies
  • Management and campaign creation of the AGA's Google AdWords account for the Galvanize It! Continuing Education program. 
  • Organizer of the annual TechForum Technical conference with locations throughout the United States and Canada.
    • TechForum 2013 was held in Montreal, CA for a member list of over 300 attendees. Responsible for all aspects of the event including conference schedules, technical speakers, catering, trade-show booth organization, after hours networking activities and three off site bus tours.

Google Shopping - Contract

Rage Fitness/Gibson Athletic

Contracted by Gibson Athletic to create and manage a new Google Shopping account for both Gibson Athletic and Rage Fitness. I was supplied with over 1,000 product images for both companies

along with product information in which to use to create the Google Shopping account. This

contract position included many hours of data entry, image manipulation, account monitoring and site

optimization. During this project I also helped with website SEO and Google Analytics, organizing key

words and instructed them on how to effectively use their campaign to draw in more customers, track

movement once inside the website and help define better ideas to increase their ROI.

Country Jam Colorado Strategic Marketing Campaign Country Jam Colorado is a Nationally recognized Music Festival which hosts an average of 110,000 people over the course of the four day event every June. Top Country music performers such as Lady Antebellum, Alan Jackson, Joe Nichols, Taylor Swift and many more have graced the Jack Daniels stage every year.

    Rock Jam As a sister event to Country Jam Colorado, Rock Jam also is home to headlining bands spanning from Classic Rockers like Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Twisted Sister while bringing in the new generation of Rock in the likes of Godsmack, Buckcherry, Saliva, Fuel and many more. Average attendance for the two-day festival, 39,000.

    Optimum Hot Spot (Social Media Tent)

    After showing superior management skills, organization, ability to take initiative and demonstration of solid performance reviews, Shafer Marketing (Director of Marketing) increased my work load to include the management of the Optimum Hot Spot tent. Organized a phone charging "bar" where festival attendees could charge their phones and cameras. Instituted the use of laptops in the tent for social media interaction on site allowing festival-goers to upload pictures to the Rock Jam Facebook, participate in contests and discussions and view Videos from the Custom Rock Jam You Tube Channel. The Optimum Hot Spot tent was also host to meet and greets with the Canadian Rock band DEFAULT, a social relaxation hang out between performances and a free wireless "hot spot."

    During the 2 day event I organized how the contests were implemented and what prizes were given away. Helped with emceeing the Optimum Hot Spot, "House of Rock" tent and on stage along side radio personalities and made promotional appearances on the Jumbotron. Assisted with troubleshooting technical difficulties behind the scenes and assisted the Director of Marketing for Country Jam in all areas of the festival.

My most important role in this position was to handle the daily office duties and communicate with clients in order to allow the owner to do her job successfully which was designing websites and print advertisements.

This position required superior attention to detail, good proof reading skills, being able to understand both the audience and the advertising client all while adhering to strict newspaper deadlines in a very fast paced environment with no room for errors.
