Brooke Barrows is an award-winning documentary producer with 15+ years of experience creating  informative and engaging content for television and the web.  She started her production career  as a researcher on Discovery's highly-acclaimed and highly-rated forensic science series, "The New Detectives".  Brooke quickly fell in love with storytelling and  interviewing people who were passionate about their work.  Over a five year period, she was promoted to series producer and broadened her experience to include script writing and directing.  In 2003, Brooke decided to venture out into the freelance world.  Her first project, "Coming Home from Space: The Challenge of Re-entry", a documentary about Space Shuttle Columbia's tragic mission,  received an Emmy nomination in the category: Outstanding Science, Technology and Nature Programming. After the success of "Coming Home from Space",  Brooke produced "Astronaut Diaries: Remembering the Columbia Shuttle Crew". The documentary was crafted from footage shot by one of Columbia's own Astronauts along with interviews of family members; it premiered on Science Channel and remains one of her proudest pieces of work.  Brooke has produced dozens of hours of factual television highlighting incredible feats in science and engineering for Discovery Channel, Science Channel, History Channel, TLC and Investigation Discovery   More recently, she's focused her talents on writing, directing and producing web content for fortune 500 companies, government agencies and universities including: training, education and marketing videos.
