Making a positive contribution to society.

Leadership Academy I am a member of Leadership Academy whose objective is to lead and serve in our community. This club is made up of the top five students from each school in our district chosen by our supervisors through an application and interview process. This year we organized and carried out a "Teddy Bear Toss Competition" to provide sick kids at the IHC Pediatric Unit teddy bears.  As part of the competition, the winner of the "Teddy Bear Toss" had the opportunity to win a 2014 Volkswagen that would be donated by Findlay Auto Mechanics    HOSA Future Health Professions   "The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community." My membership in HOSA has a direct correlation with my desire to pursue a career in the Medical profession. I am currently serving as the HOSA Secretary which provides me with additional leadership skills.  The last two years I have taken a lead role in a school wide fundraiser that financially benefited families that have young children with medical disabilities.
