Teaches Moving Objects, a class focusing on incorporating simple mechanical concepts into fabrication and design.  


Lab Manager

Visible Futures Lab @ The School of Visual Arts

Oversees the operation of a digital fabrication facility, including a full service woodshop, sewing and digital embroidery tools, metalworking, CNC, laser cutters and 3D printing tools.

  • Teaches and mentors graduate students and student workers, and supports classroom faculty in providing instruction and supervision for student fabrication projects.
  • Manages website, tutorials and social media for the department.

  • Worked as a production artist in and around NYC. Clients included the Jim Henson Company, Disney, WGBH Boston, The Culture Project, Inwork, Inc, The Getty Conservation, and Saks Fifth Avenue Design, Madagascar Institute, Offsite Events and more
  • Managed shop crews and workflow on fabrication and design projects.
  • Produced packaging prototypes and led printmaking and bookbinding workshops at the Center for Book Arts, Atlantic Cape Community College, and through the New Jersey Artists Alliance.

Skills Include

Carpentry (set and display building, finishing work, CNC), scenic painting, decorative woodworking and carving, casting and model-making (plaster, resins, glass), sculpting and 3-d patternmaking, printmaking (silkscreen, direct image, alternative photo processing), bookbinding and paper arts, electric rigging, sewing and costume (including digital embroidery), mask and puppet design, prop building and sourcing, basic welding and metalwork.

  • Supported the Social Sciences and Humanities departments by offering instruction, research support, and online resources, and advised honors thesis writers in their final year.
  • Oversaw and implemented a busy schedule of exhibits and events. Partnered with academic departments to bring outside bring artists and curators to campus, and began an initiative to involve students in the planning and design of exhibits in the library.
  • Mentored students and library interns and coordinated with faculty to create semester-long student research projects based on library collections.
  • Maintained monograph collections for Sociology and Anthropology departments.
