Since July 2014, Britton Devier has worked as director of credit recovery and advancement at Smiths Station High School in Smiths Station, Alabama. In addition, Britton Devier works as the offensive coordinator and head junior high wrestling coach at the school.
Before joining the school system in Alabama, Britton Devier worked for four years as a technology teacher for Woodmore High School in Elmore, Ohio. While there, he taught junior and senior high school technology courses, including those on computer applications and computer-aided design (CAD). He also was the school’s head football coach and assistant athletic director. He also spent three years as a high school industrial technology teacher at Patrick Henry Local Schools in Hamler, Ohio, where he also held the positions of varsity assistant football coach and assistant track coach.
Britton Devier earned his bachelor’s degree in technology education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He went on to secure his master’s degree in technology education from Illinois State University in Normal, where he was also a graduate assistant and obtained his graduate certificate in training and development. He returned to Bowling Green State University for an advanced degree in educational administration. In spring 2017, he plans to complete his doctorate in educational leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
