Fashion Futures Program Lead (London)

Program lead specializing in Fashion Futures at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology for a 3-month project for visiting multicultural students from Limkokwing, Malaysia. The first project asked students to explore the concept of ‘No Turning back’, encouraging conversations and stories told through drawing, art, photos and personal stories that can be realized into shapes, graphics, prints & concepts for the project. We encouraged self-directed study and to consider ‘what brings people together and what pushes people apart’?

Design Researcher - Design Meaning

Fashion must move beyond a disciplinary model of design and facilitate deliberate societal change. Educators need to consider how to facilitate fashion education at the undergraduate level to align with contemporary design thinking which recognises the importance for design to lead the way in sustainability and circular design thinking, helping students to understand and shift perspective beyond adornment and a signifier of social mobility into shaping awareness to fashion as an agent of change.

(1) Sustainable Futures - with a focus on the impact of fashion and tourism on the island of Bali, Indonesia
