Since 1994, Brion Applegate has been founder and senior managing director of Spectrum Equity. Located in Boston and Menlo Park, California, Applegate's company has developed six private equity funds with nearly $5 billion in capital. Renowned for his financial insights, Applegate also is a director with Local Insight Media Holdings, Inc., and Nassau Broadcasting Partners, L.P. At other points, he sat on the boards of directors for H.O. Systems Inc.; Pricellular Corporation; CBD Media LLC; and American Cellular Corporation. Prior to entering the business world, Brion Applegate attended Colgate University and acquired a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. Today, he holds the rank of trustee with the institution and assists with its athletics and endowment programs. Subsequently, Applegate received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
