Accomplished education professional Brian Cristi attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Upon graduation, Brian Cristi attended Northeastern Illinois University, earning a Master’s in Elementary Education. Today, he holds endorsements in the areas of speech, social studies, and language arts, and has Type 03 and Type 04 certifications. In 2005, Brian Cristi accepted a position as a kindergarten and preschool teacher at One Hope United Child Development Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. Instructing children between the ages of 2 and 5, Brian Cristi utilized a variety of creative media such as storytelling and puppetry to engage students in a curriculum that adhered to standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. His duties in this teaching position also included various community-building and family exercises. Since 2008, Brian Cristi has maintained seasonal involvement at One Hope, where he works during summer semesters. In 2009, Brian Cristi joined Augustus H. Burley School in Chicago as a learning resource paraprofessional. Here, he contributed to daily instruction in special education classrooms, and he assisted students with special needs who were enrolled in traditional classrooms. During this time, Brian Cristi also gained expertise in the Trailblazers Curriculum for fourth- and fifth-grade students.
