  • Devise optimal communications strategies to reach target audiences. This has proven effective in increased advertising sales (up 30%) for our 4:30-7:00 hours. Collaborate with advertising and promotion managers to promote the product; the results of which have led to a 30% year-over-year increase in viewership ratings.
  • Having worked to create a more productive newsroom with direct results in cost efficiency and program ratings, I've re-branded the focus of the editorial staff by helping guide our program towards our target audience
  • Teach, guide and train staff on new communications programs and techniques as they are incorporated into our system.
  • Oversee media storage, archiving and production systems to keep Fox at the cutting edge of technology. Helped lead the effort to implement an overhaul of the entire infrastructure with a near-zero disruption in product. These advances have allowed us to archive an additional 57% media content in 2014 compared with 2013 and move our news content quicker to broadcast. Led the task force in charge of testing these new systems. Write and publish employee guidelines, leading to improved performance involving these new technology platforms.

  • Work effectively in a cross-functional, fast paced environment, allowing our news team to turn out 55% more news programming than prior to my hiring.
  • Co-manage social media content. This has led to a 4000% increase in our Facebook reach.

  • Directed all business operations, from marketing and communications to budgeting and development; in the process, grew the company from a negative income flow firm to one that grossed tens of thousands of dollars at maturity.

  • Best selling author of the self-help book, "The Art of the Political Campaign: How to run for elected office with no money, name recognition or political connections." Began documenting campaign strategies while running for elected office in 2009 and compiled them with the help of nearly one hundred, already-elected public officials.
  • The book was self-published in July of 2013 and hit Amazon's best-selling list in August of that same year.

Candidate and campaign manager 

Committee to elect Brian Duewel
  • Designed a campaign plan to win a seat on the DuPage County Board. Received 40% of the vote against a popular incumbent.
  • With thousands of “Duewel for DuPage” followers, the process was developed with a target-specific marketing campaign presenting the candidate to the public via multiple formats. The campaign relied heavily on interpersonal communication skill, including public speaking, strong speech writing techniques, high-energy fundraising and accurate budgeting.


SportsChannel Chicago
  • Developed entertaining, engaging and informative pregame, postgame and magazine shows representing the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks.
  • Responsible for producing, marketing and budgeting of the show "Bulls/Sox Underground." By taking actions to tape portions of the show in-house, kept production costs low and under budget; creating an in increasing station cash flow. During this time, Bulls/Sox Underground saw the highest-ever ratings (150% increase year-over-year: ’99 vs ‘98).
