  • ENTREPRENEUR:Conceived and launched highly-specialized digital, database and technology marketing services and consultancy firm, VOLTAGE FACTORY, INC., in partnership with David Hosokawa (former CEO of parent company of Monster.com). Negotiated, secured and led Audi of America as anchor account in $1.5 million development deal and partnership within the first 18 months.
  • INTRAPRENEUR / DIVISION START-UP: Envisioned, launched and led Technology Marketing Practice for WESTWAYNE, INC.(5th largest independent full service marketing services agency in the U.S.). Grew division to 20% of agency revenue and 25% of agency profit within the first three years by creating advanced digital and database marketing services capabilities instrumental in attracting and securing new, stand-alone clients such as University of Phoenix (world's largest for-profit educational institution) and Unilever.
  • GENERAL MANAGER / HEAD-OF-OFFICE: Repositioned and grew specialty packaged goods practice area as Sr. Vice President, General Manager for OGILVY & MATHER DIRECT (Chicago) resulting in $6M increase in office revenue in two years. Transformed go-to-market strategies that achieved significant increases in sales for key client brands of Kraft Foods (Cheez Whiz, Miracle Whip, Velveeta), Helene Curtis (Suave), NutraSweet and Kimberly-Clark. Appointed Worldwide Practice Leader for Packaged Goods (1994).

Start-up Digital, Database and Technology Marketing Services and Consultancy

Authored the business plan that persuaded Equity Investor David Hosokawa (former CEO of parent of Monster.com) to participate in funding and partner in this technology marketing services start-up.  Lead executive in the venture.  Conceived, designed and architected proprietary Automated Marketing Platform (AMP) as primary service differentiator, instrumental in attracting and landing multiple small business and two Fortune 500 clients (Audi of America and AGCO Corporation).

Heavily recruited to turn around direct marketing capability and establish reputable Technology Marketing Practices Division.  Promptly grew the division to become 25% of agency profits within the first 3 years.  Appointed Managing Partner with strategic responsibility for establishing the vision for, and implementation of agency merger (West Group with Tucker Wayne).  Invited into the ownership group of the combined firm, with commensurate ownership responsibilities.

Originally recruited to lead and grow NutraSweet account.  Pioneered and launched consumer packaged goods practice specialty instrumental in proven sales increases for numerous Fortune 500 clients including Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer, Louis Rich, Helene Curtis and Kimberly-Clark.  Appointed General Manager, Head-Of-Office and promptly grew top line revenue by over 300% in two years.

  • 1990 one of 5 team recipients of the global David Ogilvy Award for Integrated Marketing
  • 1994 one of 5 globally to be appointed to Worldwide Practitioner Specialist with global responsibilities for training, educating, and consultation in packaged goods database marketing.
