I was hired by US HQ to lead the creative and operational direction of the newly formed Indian game studios and build them into a fully functioning autonomous game development division. In the last 18 months I have restructured and re engineered the production pipeline and capabilities with a significant gain in both speed and quality of games. The Indian studios are now producing original games end and are responsible for over 40% of Bally's global game portfolio, up from 5% when I joined.

Qais Consulting

Qais was founded by a group of ex colleagues in 2003 and is now one of the largest independent digital communications agencies in Singapore, I was asked to take charge of the entire organisation and restructure solutions, relationship management and delivery. Typical projects were high engagement websites, online games and social media applications for blue chip clients such as Adidas, Sony, Standard Chartered, Changi Airports, Epson and Hilton Hotels.

I was asked by Atlassian’s founders to create, integrate and manage 2 new departments within the company, Product Management and Design. My responsibilities covered all aspects of marketing, design, product development, strategy and profitability.

Aristocrat Technologies approached me to manage and revitalise it’s global product development and bring digital/online expertise to the organisation. I devised and led a culture/process change program for the 250+ game development team, spread across Australia and the US, to increase innovation, enthusiasm and productivity. Result: increase by 40% in patent applications, productivity increased by 37% and product revenues have increased 15%. In 2006 game production surpassed target (115% delivered) for the first time in the company’s history.

I was asked to lead the creation of, an innovative meta-search engine for the Asia Pacific travel industry. I brought together a small team and in 2.5 months delivered the following:

  • A complete market entry, brand and identity solution for Wego
  • A fully functioning WEB 2.0 consumer and trade product interface

I was an advisor to Wego until 2007 and took part in the negotiations of Wego's acquisition by News Ltd.

The digital arm of Fairfax Holdings, Australia’s premier publisher, relocated me from Asia to undertake a significant leadership and change management role. Responsible for product and content development and positioning of the entire Fairfax Digital network including print integration, mobile and video. I built an internal consultancy devising and delivering marketing campaigns and product designs for the Fairfax organisation and it's clients.
