I spent 4 years in the Navy as a broadcast journalist. During this time I shot and edited video for Naval Media Center and other outlets. I also created, shot, and edited a series of safety videos. I've hosted radio shows, made television and radio spots, put together the ship-wide newspaper, been a photographer, updated the ship website, and led the video department for about a year before I left to pursue my education.
I went to film school at Cal State Fullerton and became especially interested in TV development, but thanks to my Navy experience, I have (and will always) consider myself a media professional with several passions within the world of Media.
Over the last year and a half, I have worked with several websites, covering poker tournaments. I have written highlight and feature articles and hosted Periscope and Facebook Live interviews and tournament coverage. I am an admin on PokerNews.com social media accounts. I also provide photos and video coverage, track tournament results, engage audience both on social media and directly at events.
The Navy taught me a great deal about attention to detail and how to always be ready to complete any type of task. I'm looking to start making some ground in television by getting a job as an assistant. I'm anxious to learn the business and put in the hard work to move forward.
