Sales Assistant

State Street Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides a range of products and services for institutional investors worldwide. It operates in Investment Servicing and Investment Management. These divisions provide a range of products and services, which include mutual funds, collective investment funds and other investment pools, corporate and public retirement plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments and other investment pools, and investment managers. The Investment Servicing division offers a range of services, including custody, product- and participant-level accounting, daily pricing, and administration; master trust and master custody; recordkeeping; shareholder comprising mutual fund and collective investment fund shareholder accounting; foreign exchange, brokerage, and other trading; securities finance; deposit and short-term investment facilities; loans and lease financing; investment manager and hedge fund manager operations outsourcing; and performance, risk, and compliance analytics.

For the last year and a half I have been working with the Investor Services North America Sales Team. This team consists of on Senior VP and six VP's of Sales. In my current role I provide support on all levels from travel arrangements and expense submissions to market research and presentation assistance. I work with both internal and external clients in order to satisfy all parties in regards to information.

I have assisted in the arranging of numerous executive level meetings. I also assist in any capacity regarding proposal requests and presentations.

My current position requires me to communicate across the organization to other support teams in an effort to best accomplish whatever task is at hand.

In my current position I helped implement a collaborative worksite to assist in sharing ideas across the organization. I was a memeber of the original implementation team. I assisted in training employees to use the system and was available to answer any questions. On top of training I created multiple pages that functioned within SAVO for the use of both my team as well as others.

Office Assistant

Loomis Sayles

Loomis Sayles is and investment management firm with over $107 Billion in assets under management as of 3/31/2009.

I began working for Loomis Sayles in a contract position. I started as their front office assistant, performing a wide range of duties. From setting up meetings and managing conference rooms to ensure the timely send off of trade letters each morning.The front office position was face paced as we would have anywhere from 2 - 6 meetings an hour.

During my front office role I was given the task of portfolio assistant to three senior level portfolio managers. I performed day to day tasks for them including; running reports, filing prospectuses and ensurig all meetings were properly arranged.

I was later transitioned into a special project coordinator role where I implemented and ran the process of bringing the companies document holding process up to SEC standards. I implemented a storage system and informational tracking log for the contents and location of each document that was sent off site.

Spanish - Spoken

I am currently learning to speak spanish. I am enrolled in an adult education course to further enhance my ability to speak spanish. I would like to continue to learn the language in order to become fluent.

French - Spoken

I have been taking french classes for well over 8 years and am working on becoming a proficient french speaker.

Pages

I am extrmely comfortable working on both Mac and PC systems. I prefer to use Pages as my word processor as it provides me the most felxibility in creating documents.

Microsoft Excel

I currently work very heavily within excel. I have a more detailed knowledge of how to insert formulas and extract information in order to create an effective spreadsheet.

Microsoft PowerPoint

 I have a variety of PowerPoint skills that I have had to use on a daily basis. From creating college level presentations all the way to formatting corporate level slides I feel confident in my ability to utilize PowerPoint.

Microsoft Word

I use Microsoft Word functions on a daily basis. Whether is be editing emails or documents that need to be sent out to clients I have a full range of ability within Word.

Objective

I feel as though objectives should be constantly changing. My current objective is to find a company that is progressively thinking and changing and helping others in a positive way. I am looking for a place that I can grow with while also growing as an individual. I believe that your job is a place you spend the majority of your time so it should reflect aspects of your personality and be a place that you enjoy coming in to on a daily basis.

Interest

While I thouroughly enjoy working in the finance field my interests lie far from my day to day job.

I have a passion for cooking. I enjoy taking cooking classes in an effort to expand my knowledge and technique.

I enjoy learning new languages and different aspects of cultures outside my own and love to travel.

I also enjoy reading, any good book is a chance for me to indulge some free time into a world that is far from my own. I am currently reading a great book called Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath. It discusses why some things just stick throughout time and why other ideas fall to the wayside.

I have recently started running which I have found to be a great new found interest. I try to run at least three times a week and then once on the weekend. I especially enjoy a nice day running through the Back Bay of Boston and then over to the Esplinade.
