I have more than two decades of experience in leading news organizations, first in television and now in the multi-channel realm of digital information. While the delivery methods are changing, the strategy is the same; identify the needs of our audience, find out how those needs can be better served, and innovate to create a clearly superior product. Like many industries, newsrooms are often held back by outdated assumptions, systems built to crank out product rather than to serve the consumer. I'm especially proud of our online growth - WLWT.com is now the #1 TV news source on the Internet in our market. Traditional media brands will be the strongest brands on the Internet if we adapt to serve the needs of our various customers. We believe that soon, our Internet channel will become our primary channel, working in concert with the television side. The world still needs great journalism, more than ever. My goal is to responsibly serve my community with great content. The result will be a strong brand and strong businesses.
