House Mover / Demolisher

Mackay & Sons House Removals

I started here as a house mover and welder.  As time progressed I moved into fabrication of trailers, house moving equipment, heavy machinery parts and house stumps.  I also had to work on alot of trucks, where my duties included everything from diagnostics to repairs and all in-between.

I then moved to Demolition Foreman and started operating a 14 Ton excavator to crush houses and clear properties.

Work Experience

Brisbane Motorcycles

When I started high school I took advantage of the work experience program, which allowed me to work one day a week at Brisbanes largest Honda, Suzuki and Ducati dealership.

Here I had several different jobs to help learn more about the motorcycle industry. I assembled new motorcycles, carried out small repairs on some, as well as parts and accessories sales.

Spoked Motorcycle Wheelsmith

Ash's Spoked Wheels

At Ash's I was involved in all aspects of custom wheel building including Lacing, Truing, Straightening of wheels, as well as polishing, sandblasting and powdercoating.  We also built and restored a few bikes for ourselves and customers. Our top priority was always quality of work, and I believe strongly in having pride in what you have created.

East Coast Custom

While I was at High School, I also rode Freestyle Motocross competitively and East Coast Custom were my main sponsor.  They were Australia's largest wholesaler of custom Harley Davidson parts, S&S Engines, Primo Belt drives amongst many other brands.

I was involved in a traineeship which heavily involved everything from referencing different parts, identifying problems with Harley components to making speeches and helping to organise our stall at Gold Coast Bike Week.

Year 12 Graduate

Ferny Grove State High

Graduated Year 12

Structural 3G Welding Course Extremely competent ARC/MIG Welder

My whole life I have been obsessed with all things to do with motorcycles.

At age 15 I was 4th in Australian Amateur Freestyle Motocross. I always worked on my own bikes and could rebuild my bike at this age.

Throughout the years since I have restored and hand built my own bikes, including whole frames, tanks, seat pans and fabricated nearly every other part inbetween.

I believe there is no better feeling that handcrafting something from nothing and having a great time doing it.

I will not take for granted any chance to work with motorcycles or in the industry and hard work is a value that my parents instilled in me from a young age. I believe this, along with common sense would make me a great asset to your company.
