As the Director of First Impressions, I was the first person to interact with potential customers, current members and investors, either face-to-face or over the telephone. My responsibilities included but were not limited to:

• Schedule appointments for the office staff as well as weekly updates of each employees itinerary.

• Verify that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.

• Operate all aspects of Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes.

• Maintain working relationships and communicates with all departments.

• Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.

• Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.

Young Life

Young Life is a non-profit organization whose main mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. This happens when caring adults build genuine friendships and earn the right to be heard with their young friends. For more than seven decades, Young Life staff has been increasing its numbers from five to more than 3,500 staff members — from one club in Texas to clubs in nearly every corner of the world. Young Life continues to press toward the goal of reaching two million kids a year through the Reaching a World of Kids initiative. To do this, they are looking to mobilize more than 80,000 volunteers and establish 8,000 ministry locations. This will be accomplished through sustaining and starting ministries, leveraging the power of volunteers and expanding the camping programs.

As the Northern Twin Cities Young Life Intern, I assisted the execution of Young Life at two high schools and three middle schools. There are two branches of Young Life; a weekly "Club" as well as a weekly small group gathering. I created and organized the yearly curriculum for our small group meetings as well as assisted our volunteers with implementing the material. Furthermore, I helped to restart Young Life at a secondary school called Irondale High School. There were many duties within this internship, some include: 

• Expertly managing a team of 12 adult volunteers.

• Coordinated and hosted large events for 150+ people. A few of my responsibilities were marketing and advertising, coordinating the catering of the events, organizing attendee materials and speaking about Young Life at the benefits. 

• Trained and coached adult leaders on how to effectively speak to large groups, initiate conversation with youth and their parents, and create goals.

• Recruited new volunteers who best aligned with Young Life’s mission and values.
