Bachelors of Science

Westwood College Online

I am currently enrolled in the Visual Communications program at Westwood College Online. I expect to graduate with a Bachelors of Science Degree in August, 2009. This is an expedited curriculum that goes year round enabling me to obtain a four year degree in three years. I have maintained a 3.85 GPA and have made the Dean's List every term since August, 2006.

I haven't had as much opportunity to use Adobe Flash CS3 as some of the other programs, but I am definitely comfortable using it and have made several interactive animations with this program.
Premier Pro
I have had the opportunity to edit videos for the web using Adobe Premier Pro CS3. I have been able to encode and embed them on several websites.
Through school I have developed several websites with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 using HTML and CSS. I have also been able to embed video and audio into the websites. I plan on creating a website of my own once I graduate.
Microsoft Office
Through my schooling I have had plenty of time to use many of the Microsoft Office programs including: Word Power Point Excel
Since part of my curriculum is focused toward web design and all of my classes are taken online, I feel very comfortable using the internet.
Adobe InDesign CS3 is another of my favorite programs to use.
Like Photoshop, I am very confident in my abilities, and thoroughly enjoy, using Adobe Illustrator CS3.
I am very proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop CS3. Though I realize that there is always room for improvement I am very confident in my abilities with this program.

In my brief time at OSI I have been exposed to a real office setting. This has allowed me to get an idea of the corporate world and how it works. My creativity has been tested which has helped me grow immensely as an artist and a productive member of the marketing team. My time here has solidified my resolve to be a graphic designer. Design Work

I want to be a graphic designer! I am in love with every aspect and opportunity that this field has to offer. I love to create and can think of nothing better than to see the things I create out there in the real world. I am not afraid to start at the bottom and work my way up. All I need now is someone willing to take a chance on an optimistic, energetic, creative designer who may not have the real world experience, but can more than make up for it in tenacity and an eagerness to learn.

My objective is to not only obtain employment as a graphic designer, but to use my talents and skills to create...anything. Whether it be print ads, corporate identities, logos etc. I hope to be able to see my work out in the world.
