The Global Head of Customer Marketing at Zurich Insurance Group, Brandon Caneer is an eminent professional in his field who has built and led a number of successful marketing organizations for various corporations in the past decade of his career. Brandon Caneer joined the Zurich Insurance Group in 2011. As Chief Marketing Officer, Brandon Caneer's responsibilities include presiding over marketing in the company's Asia-Pacific and Middle East region, as well as supporting the delivery of the company's Global Life regional plan. In this role, Caneer led the development and implementation of the Zurich Global Life Regional Marketing Strategy. In 2011 and 2012, this included launching Zurich brand campaigns in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia — initiatives that were achieved within six months, and which involved multimillion-dollar investments. Prior to joining the Zurich Insurance Group, Caneer was part of several leading international companies. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked for the AEGON Insurance Group in Taiwan. He also worked with the American International Group as Regional Head of Bancassurance for Taiwan and Mainland China. He subsequently became Chief Marketing Officer for AEGON-CNOOC Life Insurance Company, a joint venture business in Mainland China. Caneer's expertise in the insurance industry and marketing field have prompted his involvement in various organizations, including a role as Co-Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce Insurance Committee in Taiwan and as a guest speaker at the Insurance Institute of Taiwan, the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan, and the Richmond University Business School in London. He has also been a guest speaker at the University of Iowa and Auburn University Business School. Brandon Caneer holds a Master of Business Administration from Richmond University in London, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a result of his internationally focused career, he has lived in Mexico, the United States, Taiwan, and China.
