With more than 15 years of experience in the real estate-acquisition and investment markets, Mr. Westerling currently serves as the Commercial Property Asset Manager and Owner of Elements Real Estate, LLC, in Boston. In this role, Brandon Westerling's primary focus is troubled property redevelopment and neighborhood revitalization.Before establishing Elements Real Estate in 2009, Brandon Westerling gained real estate acquisition and development experience working as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Quantum Realty Group, also in Boston. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Westerling was involved in the purchase, redevelopment, and sale of properties in more than 35 Massachusetts communities. He was also heavily involved in working with local zoning boards, town planners, town inspectors, Board of Health agents, and other members of local and state governments, gaining experience in a wide variety of mixed income development projects. In addition, Brandon Westerling has served as the President of Mercury Equity Corporation and began in the real estate field as an Investment Specialist for Prudential Real Estate.A graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, Brandon Westerling earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. He earned recognition on the Dean’s List, was National Exchequer of the Year for his fraternity, and was a member of the President's Investment Council on Social Responsibility. Notably, Mr. Westerling was awarded a grant to start Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, an assistance program serving Baltimore’s homeless population.Along with his numerous professional responsibilities, Brandon Westerling is able to balance his work life with a passion for scuba diving. As an enthusiast, scuba instructor, and historic shipwreck specialist, Mr. Westerling has completed more than 1,000 dives. He is certified as a Professional Association of Diving Instructor (PADI), Divemaster, and Master Scuba Diver as well as a PADI Rescue Diver, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and Wreck Specialty Instructor.
