Today, Bowen Banbury serves as the Managing Member of Thunderbird Capital LLC, a real estate holding company in Denver, Colorado. Before moving to the development, investment, and management company, however, Bowen Banbury ran his own successful data security, document shredding, and records management company called DocuVault LLC. When Bowen Banbury founded DocuVault in 1997, he began using two vacant floors in the building that housed his father’s business. Bowen Banbury’s business soon expanded, taking up five buildings in Denver and spawning subsidiary companies in other cities. In 2004 and 2005, Inc. magazine rated DocuVault as one of the top-100 fastest growing companies in the United States. ColoradoBiz magazine named DocuVault a Top Company of the Year in 2005. Throughout its growth, Bowen Banbury’s company continued to inspire confidence in its customers through its commitment to security, which included protective measures to safeguard papers, paintings, X-rays, disks, blueprints, videos, files, and documents against damage from fire and water. The company also enforced stringent security regulations and held certification from such organizations as the National Association for Information Destruction, Inc. By the time Bowen Banbury sold his company to the information management company Iron Mountain Incorporated in 2008, he had grown DocuVault, LLC and created the subcompanies DocuVault Group LLLP, DocuVault Secure Shredding LLC, DocuVault Data Security LLC, DocuVault Colorado Springs LLC, and DocuVault Colorado LLC. Still growing by 30 percent at its acquisition, Bowen Banbury had used his skills as Chief Executive Officer in problem solving, team building, rapid growth management, and strategy design and implementation to build an advanced and successful company.
