Text Section

Bonnie Curtis is a multi-faceted artist, driven by an inquisitive imagination and desire. Her artistic practice incorporates various mediums involving performing and visual arts, having worked as both a choreographer and performer before venturing into filmmaking. She has choreographed works for cabaret shows dance along with her own independent works. Her first major production 'BERGGASSE 19' debuted in 2015 at the NIDA Playhouse Theatre in Sydney, as part of a collection of student works, featured along side works developed by internationally renowned choreographers.

She has performed for ‘Platform Shorts’ in the 2013 Sydney Fringe Festival, contemporary dance company Emotive Arts, numerous cabaret and burlesque shows, and has also performed in short and feature films including 'Resplendent Fatales' directed by Lauren Batschowanow.

During her studies as a Bachelor of Dance student at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) she developed a taste for filmmaking, creating her first short dance film 'Fixated' in 2015. Bonnie's fascination with the darker themes in life is prevalent in her work. She is inspired by themes that are often thought of as taboo in society and loves to make her audience question their views on humanity.
