Bodyguardschool.com has been involved in the training, recruiting and placement of security personnel since 1998. With headquarters in Orlando, Florida, bodyguardschool.com runs educational sessions at facilities in the United States and internationally. Based on a rigorous application process and interview policy, bodyguardschool.com accepts approximately 50 to 75 percent of those who apply. Generally, slightly more than half of the applicants are ex military or law enforcement. Candidates are accepted at bodyguardschool.com for one of two distinct training programs. The 28-day immersion program, bodyguardschool.com's signature intensive course, trains in Florida and South America and accepts only eight students per session. Bodyguardschool.com designed this mentally and physically challenging course for those aiming to make a career in the security industry. This program explores leadership, mission planning, and logistics in depth and focuses on the "proactive" approach, which includes protective and counter surveillance applications. The live-fire pistol training is considered to be among the best in the world. Additionally, due to operational demand, bodyguardschool.com offers a standalone, 10-day Surveillance training program. This unique course, designed to train covert surveillance operators, focuses on a broad spectrum of skill sets. These include covert photography, cover stories, and mission-planning sequences, along with a number of extremely challenging field problems that take place in a number of locales all through Florida. All classes at bodyguardschool.com use a progressive combination of lecture, demonstration, and supervised practical application in exercises. To graduate from the program, students must pass practical examinations and perform operations to a high standard without any supervision. Approximately 20 to 30 percent of bodyguardschool.com participants drop out of courses or are dismissed for failure to meet standards.
