Test Engineer in Software:

Started in the QA test profession as a Test Technician 2 then gradually was promoted up to Test Engineer over time. Working on a long term contract for Hewlett Packard with a test partner(Adecco Technical) to learn how to perform Quality Assurance testing in a software setting environment and using different Software Life-cycle Development Principles as well as Waterfall and Agile promotion processes . I have spent many years acquiring new testing skills and continually grow in areas of programming, triage/trouble-shooting, black/white box testing, as well as product development and release. Below are each position I've had within HP on a career trajectory of Software Engineering in Test and Test Lead/Senior Level Project Management.

  • End-to-end planning
  • Software Development Life Cycle (unit, regression, development, integration, performance)
  • Test planning and test writing (Automation)
  • Auditing: Code coverage gaps and missing test functionality to adequately test software products.
  • Testing in both Linux/Java and Windows/C# environments.
  • Sprint planning with User Stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Daily SCRUM in agile test environment.
  • Test planning for Cloud development.
  • Docker
  • Jenkins servers for build maintenance and execution.
  • Training and mentoring technicians on practices and test execution.

However I was more involved with planning of Product Life-cycle release testings and development of new product features and enhancements.

  • Configure test environments for performing customer use cases.
  • Configuring LDAP and Exchange servers for software testing, automation and manual.
  • Create VMware images for end user experience and trouble shooting hardware and software installation issues.
