Using the sustainable design and conscious capitalism business principles of People . Planet . Prosperity, Kimberly helps organizations and agencies create inspiring environments, exceed environmental expectations, increase human and societal well-being, and move beyond profitability and into prosperity.
The daughter of a pediatric nurse practitioner and a pediatric respiratory therapist, Kimberly grew up working in several children’s health facilities in her native Florida. Early on, she witnessed numerous childhood ailments that were suspicious in their origin, many of these ailments seemingly exacerbated by occupancy within certain buildings or near polluting industries. This experience left a lasting impression that underscores Kimberly’s career path in sustainable built environments.
Kimberly has been named one of the Top 20 Women under the age of 40 in Commercial Real Estate by Commercial Real Estate Women Network’s “20 Under 40” Award. She is also working with the University of Nevada, Reno to develop an online Sustainability Certificate program for their Extended Studies School for business leaders, planners, building professionals and entrepreneurs. Kimberly just returned from Brazil where she was chosen to represent Rotary International during a Group Study Exchange. Most recently, Kimberly was appointed a Regional Chair position with the Center for Green Schools. Her role will be to connect institutions of higher learning to the sustainability community for the benefit of both students and the burgeoning local business economy.
