Tour Guide

Alaska Coach Tours

For the summer seasons of 2011 and 2012 I was a tour guide with Alaska Coach Tours in Ketchikan, AK.  As a tour guide I developed greater people skills. I was an often requested tour guide, adapted easily to all kinds of situations, and could talk to anyone from anywhere.

Incite Marketing

At Incite Marketing I was a door to door salesman of satellite dish services and later pest control contracts during the summers of 2009 and 2010. Door to door sales required me to be very outgoing and persuasive in order to close customers. Pay at Incite marketing was one hundred percent commissioned based which required me to learn diligence and hard work in order to succeed. It was a difficult job that required long hours, generally about fifty per week. My responsibilities included managing my own area, explaining contracts to customers, being friendly and approachable, hard closing, and recording data.Supervisor: Michael Wilkey (435) 713-5655

Sales Associate

Circuit City

My responsibilities at Circuit City included sales of computers and cameras as well as computer software repair and ringing up customer’s bills.  After only one month at Circuit City I became the number one salesman in the store in both the computer and camera sections based off of profit per hour.

LDS Church

For two years I served as an LDS church service missionary in the Philippines. After only 2 months in the country I was fluent in Tagalog. During these two years I learned the most valuable life skills I currently hold; determination, hard work, leadership, patience and charity. During this time I served as a leader to 6 missionaries for one year and later over 20 missionaries for 3 months until my departure. These two years were the most difficult and rewarding of my life. I followed a rigorous work and study schedule that required me to work every day for two years without a day off.
